Support the Power of Live Art
We’re living in a time when arts funding is shrinking, stages are closing, and creative work is being asked to do more with less. Yet the need for live art — for embodied storytelling, movement, community gathering and witness — has never been greater.
Truth: a biofictional choreopoem reminds us that the stories of Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman, Harriet Bell Hayden, Louisa DeWolfe and the women who walked beside them are not relics — they are living forces. They remind us how art holds grief, joy, and collective memory all at once while celebrating the power and resilience of our Ancestors and ourselves.
We’re asking for your help to raise $12,500 to continue developing Truth in 2026. Your contribution keeps this work alive — not only onstage, but in community spaces, schools, and dialogue circles that connect us across time and distance.
Art matters. Live performance matters. And your support matters.
